As part of our Character
Education focus, the students at Mineola focus on Daily Inspiration
Cards that we have acquired from one of our Mineola parents, Mrs. Helen
Peacock. The “Little Daily Inspirations” are taken from a 44 Card deck for kids
of all ages that Mrs. Peacock has created. Each classroom at Mineola has their own deck of
cards. Each Monday, one student in each class removes a card from the deck and reads the
“Daily Inspiration”. This inspiration then becomes the focus for the week. This
week the office Daily Inspiration is: “Family”: The most important team that you
will be part of today is your family”. These cards serve as an inspiration and focus
for our school community to be “inspired” and “live life to the
fullest” and “be the best person that you can be”.
